It is very important for an entrepreneur to dare to look forward and plan far enough. When Liesbet Bergen started with the Stoffenkamer last year and a bit later with a webshop she had no idea what the result would be. The concept, however, was a huge hit. With the Stoffenkamer she plays perfectly on the trend of DIY: more and more women choose to make their own clothes out of the clothes of their children.
The e-commerce platform offered too little flexibility and autonomy. There was a long wishlist with to do’s and we thought it was better to convert the webshop to a Magento webshop. There are a lot of functionalities ready in Magento. This is a very important advantage relative to custom made systems. We started with the design of the old webshop. It was after all excellent work from Inge Lemahieu and it would be a shame to throw it away. We have re-written the design from 0 to custom Magento templates. And we added a few things:
- Account management for the customers for a better monitoring
- Zoom functionality to really see the texture of the fabrics
- Optimization of the code
- Sale possibility
- Billing
- Multilingual functionality
- Newsletter connection for e-mail marketing
What is especially important, is that the platform is now futureproofed. This means that Liesbeth Bergen and her brother who joined her in the meantime can work on the expansion of their company, and they can do a lot of the webshop management themselves.
